陳敏祐於1969年赴美攻讀碩士，在1985年創建Telamon公司之前於通用電話電子公司（GTE）公司任職。其商業模式大多基於解決顧客的頭痛問題，經營過程雖有挫折，仍持續成長。他非常慷慨的分享其成就，設立許多獎學金、各種基金支持文藝團體、弱勢群體與學生等，是成功企業家的典範。
